Connecting an Iphone to a TV set works just the same as connecting an Ipad to a TV.
There are two different types of adapter cables depending on the TV you have:
The first type of adapter is the Component AV Cable, and the other is the Composite AV Cable.
What’s the difference?
– The Composite AV Cable fits mostly older, analog style TVs that only have THREE RCA inputs: ONE for video (yellow), and TWO for stereo audio (red and white).
– The Component AV Cable adapts to newer TVs with FIVE RCA inputs: THREE for video (red, green, and blue) and ONE for audio (red and white). This is the newer standard and is likely to only become more popular with the trend of many different inputs being made available on today’s TVs.
Check your TV inputs and match accordingly.
The other end of the cables plug in to the 30-pin port you use for charging.
Both of these types of cables work with the original Iphone, Iphone 3G, and Iphone 3GS.
